MMPR Green Ranger: The Legend

I brought the Green Ranger to San Diego Comic Con, and wore it specifically on Day 2 because I saw that Jason David Frank (Tommy Oliver on MMPR) would be doing a signing at the Bandai booth. I was intent on getting a 24k Gold Legacy Morpher from Bandai as well, so I was already there and in line right at opening. After I snagged gold LMs for my girlfriend and myself, we found out that JDF's signing was another ticketed event. Because we had been in line for tickets for the LMs, we weren't able to get tickets for the signing. Slightly bummed, my girlfriend and I decided we'd hang around the exhibit hall.

We swung by Bandai a little after the signing had started, and saw JDF signing and taking photos at the booth. I quickly helmeted up, and as he posed for a photo I quickly leaned in behind the camera so that I'd catch his attention. He instantly got up from his table and posed with me for a flurry of camera flashes. He then put me in a headlock (fake, of course) for a few more photos. After breaking the 2nd pose, I quickly asked him through my helmet if he would sign it, as a helmet signature was what I had wanted all morning. JDF was eager to oblige, and signed my helmet as I wore it.

It was honestly the highlight of my con. To meet and take photos of a childhood hero, and have him approve and sign my cosplay, was amazing. Definitely made SDCC my favorite con of the year.
